You can almost tell how Brent Randall writes a song--it's just him and his piano, and all of a sudden his colourful world of animation slowly grows around the room and up the walls (just take a look at the Monty Python-style cover illustration). Deeply rooted in the Harry Nilsson/Tin Pan Alley style of writing, the album plays out like a musical, and it's great to see that east coast Canadian pop music is still very much alive.
